Through the company Tina Holding Plc. Vecata has invested in QuantiBact Ltd. The company develops a new, quick and reliable (non PCR based) diagnostic method for detecting microorganisms (bacteria) in fluids.
E.g. in cases of infections in the urinary system it takes up to 24 hours from the time you take a sample until you can verify, whether the sample contains bacteria. Hereafter it takes about 48 hours to determine the bacteria type. With QuantiBact’s technology you have the complete test results (type and quantity of bacteria) within 3 hours, minimizing the use of broad spectrum antibiotics. Investment carried out in 2007.
